RVIA Chairman Doug Gaeddert reported at the "Outlook 2014: Everywhere" program that the future looks promising for the RV industry.
Sales are continually growing and have been higher this past year than the year before. Leading the pack in sales have been travel trailers with a whopping 12.1% increase over 2012.
Fifth Wheels came in second with a 5.6% increase.Gaeddert contributes the increase in sales to the combined marketing and promotional efforts of the RVIA and GoRving's advertising campaign.
Raising awareness of RV travel and camping is the most important aspect of their strategy and the results have been promising. The next step in the RVIA's strategy is to increase promotion of career opportunities in the RV industry; specifically in the technical field.
