Panama City is so much more than a gorgeous white sand, blue water beach. In Panama City you can find activities no matter who you’re traveling with or what age you are! Here you can find everything from water parks for the kiddos, romantic restaurants for the honeymooners and bars for the college kids. The best part about Panama City, besides the beach, are the locally owned businesses that open their doors to tourists like you!
Finn’s Island Style Grub
There a ton of places in town to stop and grab some grub for lunch while you’re taking a break from the beach. Locals and vacationers alike love Finn’s Island Style Grub food truck. Grab some fish tacos and the Island Style Nachos to share with your amigos. Since they opened it 2009, Finn’s has kept true to their mission to provide Panama City Beach’s freshest food!
Man in the Sea Museum
Take some time one afternoon to check out the one of a kind Man in the Sea Museum. This museum with get you completely submerged in the history of diving. Founded in 1982, this museum contains recovered treasures from ships dating back to 1500. Want to live on a submarine like the Beatles? Make sure to take a climb through the submarine on the museum grounds!
Gene’s Oyster Bar
Since you’re in Florida, it only makes sense to eat as much seafood as possible. Head off the beaten path for some freshly shucked oysters at Gene’s Oyster Bar. This place is about as local as Panama City gets. Make sure to bring cash and get there early.
The Martin Theater
Need a break from the beach or somewhere to spend a rainy day? Check out The Martin Theater right in the heart of Panama City. This theater first opened it’s doors for the first time in 1936. The building was eventually left vacant until the chairman of the Panama City Downtown Improvement Board bought the building in 1987. Now the Martin Theater is at the heart of Panama City’s cultural core.
Panama City has some great local eat and drinkeries to take in the laid back vibes of this beach city. Head to Mosey’s for darts, ping pong, a wide assortment of craft beer and best but not least… delicious, crispy pizza. If you’re here on the right night you can catch some pretty sweet drink specials and live music!
