How much does it cost to rent an RV?
Our rates are listed on our Rental Rates page and vary by type of unit and the number of days you are planning on renting.

Is there a minimal amount of time that we have to rent?
Currently, there is a 4 day minimum for renting motorized RVs, and a 3 day minimum on towable RVs.

Is mileage included in the rental cost?
Mileage is included in the rental cost up to 125 miles.  There is a $1.49 per mile charge for any overage.

What are the insurance requirements?
Rental insurance must be provided by the renter and a copy of the policy shown to us when the vehicle is picked up.  Many automotive insurance carriers can provide a rider to your current automotive policy to cover the rental of an RV.  Rental insurance is available through MBA Choice.  Click here for rates and instructions on purchasing insurance through MBA Choice.

What deposit is required?
Upon confirmation a $250 deposit is required for Towable RVs and a $500 deposit is required for Class C Motorhomes.  The deposit can be made by check, VISA, Mastercard or American Express.  Upon return, any extra charges will be balanced against the deposit and the remainder will be refunded.

Is there a charge for the generator?
Two hours per day is included in the rental cost. There is a $4.00 per hour charge for any overage.

What kind of gas mileage will we get?
Mileage depends on several factors such as your driving speed, terrain traveled, winds and the vehicle weight.  You can expect to average anywhere between 8 and 12 miles for a Class C rental and between 6 and 9 miles for a Class A rental.

Do I need a special driver's license to drive a motorhome?
No, all you need is to be at least 25 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license.  No special endorsement is needed.  RV Connections Rental Center does reserve the right to refuse rental to anyone if they do not have a valid driver's license or an extensive driving record.

Is it difficult to drive a motorhome?
Class C motorhomes are built on van chassis and handle much like a car.  Class A motorhomes require wider turns, however they are very easy to drive on the open road.  Click here for more tips and information on driving a motorhome.

Besides the rental cost are there any other charges I will incur?
There is tax due on the rental charges.  You will also have to pay for any extra mileage or generator usage at the end of the rental if you go over.  There is also a fee charge if the unit is not returned full of fuel, tanks dumped, and the unit cleaned.  There is also an additional fee for late returns.

Are there roll out awnings on the rental units?
Use of awning is prohibited.

Are pets allowed in the rental units?
PETS ARE PROHIBITED unless approved prior to pickup and an additional fee is paid (limited availibility; specific units only; service animals OK.)

Is smoking allowed in the rental units?
No, all of our units are Non-Smoking.

Can we use the roof to transport our luggage?
Access to the RV roof is prohibited.  Ladders on rental units are for use by RV Connections personnel only.  Customers are responsible for any roof damage.

What happens if I receive a traffic ticket or a parking citation while renting an RV from RV Connections?
Customers are responsible for reporting and payment of all parking/traffic violations at rental termination.  Non-reporting of parking/ traffic violations breaches the Rental Contract and will result in an administrative charge of up to $100 in addition to the fines.

During our trip am I required to perform any maintenance on the rental RV?
While all the fluid and air pressure levels are checked before any rental RV is released to a customer, you are still required to maintain fluid levels in the engine and generator, and maintain air pressure levels in the tires during your trip.  In the event of an accident, it must be reported to the proper law enforcement authority immediately anf to RV Connections as soon as practical, but in any event, within 24 hrs of the accident.

How will I know how to operate all the appliances and electronics that the RV comes with?
We conduct a thorough "walk thru" with you before you depart with the rental unit.  A RV Connections associate will ensure you understand the working of and are comfortable with using all the RV's features and accessories.
